IMD Deputy Director-General KS Hosalikar in Mumbai tweeted, "There will be heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours in North Konkan region including Mumbai." 

Not only this, but heavy rains are also possible in North Konkan Goa and South Gujarat. Moderate to heavy rains are expected over South Konkan Goa, Coastal Karnataka, and North Kerala. Northeast India, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana are also likely to receive heavy rainfall at some places. The rainy season may continue in Bihar as well. The rainy season will continue in Mumbai. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to high winds due to strong winds.

Waterlogging due to heavy rains in Mumbai

Heavy rains lashed various areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai on Saturday for the second day. Due to this, the problem of waterlogging has arisen. Many trees have been uprooted and the walls of houses have fallen. Suburban areas of Mumbai and its neighboring Thane have recorded more than 100 mm of rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the Colaba region of South Mumbai received 66 mm of rain from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. The Santacruz area received 111.4 mm of rain. The Thane-Belapur Industrial Organization area also received 116 mm of rain.

Cyclonic pressure again, warning of heavy rains in central India, 50 deaths due to lightning in UP Bihar

In the past, after two cyclones, once again there are conditions like a storm. The Meteorological Department has said that a cyclonic pressure has formed in the Bay of West Bengal of the west coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coast. This cyclonic circulation is spread over a radius of 7.6 km at sea. The Meteorological Department has said that due to this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in central India and many parts of the region during the next four-five days. At the same time, thunderclap broke into havoc on Saturday due to heavy rains in many parts of the country. It killed 29 people in Bihar and 21 in Uttar Pradesh.

Jhamazham in Delhi NCR, 29 killed in Bihar

Humidity in the areas of Delhi NCR was very disturbing but it rained heavily in the early hours of Sunday. On Saturday, nine people died in Bhojpur in Bihar, five in Saran, three each in Sasaram and Bhabua, two each in Patna, Jehanabad and Aurangabad, and one each in Saharsa, Gaya, Buxar district. At the same time, at least 28 people have been burnt due to lightning in Uttar Pradesh. Eight people died in Prayagraj, five in Mirzapur, three in Bhadohi, two each in Kaushambi and Jaunpur, and one in Sonbhadra.

Six died in Prayagraj

Six people died due to lightning strikes in the villages of Yamunapar of Prayagraj in Koraon region. Nearly a dozen people were scorched. The weather department claims that normal rainfall is expected in Delhi from Monday to July 10. Skymet's chief meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said that the monsoon line could become more active in Delhi from July 7, which is expected to bring good rains. On Saturday, the monsoon line was present in North Rajasthan, due to which it is raining there.

Two killed in Assam floods

18 districts of Assam have been hit by severe floods. Two more people have died due to floods and more than 10.75 lakh people have been affected. The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said that one person each died in Morigaon and Tinsukia districts. So far, 61 people have died in floods in the state and 24 have died due to landslides.

The cyclone winds

The private weather forecasting agency Weather Weather has said in its report that the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal is dominant over Andhra Pradesh and southern parts of Odisha. This will cause heavy to very heavy rainfall. Not only this, but a cyclonic circulation is also seen over north-eastern Rajasthan as well. A cyclonic circulation is already active over East Uttar Pradesh due to which a trough is extending from East Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha. At the same time, the cyclonic circulation over southern parts of Gujarat is now active due to which widespread rain is possible.
