Bajirao Mastani Movie Review

A discussion of this film started in the media even before Bajirao Mastani was released. In fact, today in the glamor industry, Bhansali is portrayed in some of the finest filmmakers who do not compromise with the spices available at the box office, or else to imagine a star like Hrithik Roshan sitting on a start to a lost wheelchair. No one else can.

This time, Bhansali has realized his age-old dream on the silver screen, which he saw twelve thirteen years ago. The situation became such that despite work on the script almost complete, it took Bhansali so long to realize his dream.

The making, sets, and dialogues of the film have been compared to long back. Asif Sahab's Evergreen film was being done with Mughal-e-Azam

The way Asif Saheb delivered the message of Shanshah Akbar Pyaar through the lead character of his film, Shahzada Salim, the same work has been done by Peshwa Bajirao in Bhansali's film.

Surely it is wonderful of Bhansali Saheb that he has put the atmosphere of Marathi culture on the screen in the best manner. Of course, a song and some dialogues filmed in Aaina Mahal in this film remind you of the classic Mughal-e-Azam.

Story

The story dates back to the 1700s when the great warrior Peshwa Bajirao Ballal (Ranveer Singh) of the Maratha Empire was engaged in expanding his empire, Bajirao is married to Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra), in the eyes of Kashibai like Bajirao in the world. No one else, so she likes Bajirao more than herself.

Bajirao, constantly busy in expanding his empire, spends more time in war and battlefield. Meanwhile, one-day Bajirao encounters Mastani (Deepika Padukone), the daughter of Bundelkhand Maharaj Chhatrasal. Mastani is very beautiful, has a mastery of fencing and warfare.

Mastani has come to the battlefield to seek help from Bajirao to protect her father's kingdom from invaders. During this war, Mastani and Bajirao start liking each other, after which both get married.

Bajirao is a Hindu and Mastani Muslim, so Bajirao is married to a girl of another religion, his first wife Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra), mother Radhabai (Tanvi Azmi), sister Bhiubai (Anuja Gokhale), and her brother Chimaji Appa (Vaibhav) Not allowed but all is silent in front of Bajirao's happiness.

Acting

Seeing Ranveer playing the character of Peshwa, there is no simple belief that an all-round actor who started a career in the glamor industry some time ago can also do such great acting.

You will surely like Ranbir's energy in the character of Peshwa and his style of dialogue delivery. Ranveer Singh is to be considered as the most powerful side of this film, seeing his best acting, Ranbir will be completely lost in this role during shooting. For the character of Peshwa, he has worked hard on the Marathi accent. Deepika looks beautiful in Mastani's role

At the same time, Deepika's second look with a sword in her hands further enhances her acting. Priyanka has played her character effectively, of course, Kashibai's character has the potential to make her way into some of the best roles of her career. Tanvi Azmi, in the role of Bajirao's mother, ie Saheb, has done such a great live performance that will be remembered for a long time.

Direction

Bhansali has taken a good initiative in his film to give such a message in today's environment, which is very much needed today, that is, there is no religion of love. At the same time, Bhansali is known for showing his film with the finest expensive sets and scenes rarely seen in Hindi films.

In Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Gujarati culture, this time Bhansali has effectively portrayed Maharashtrian culture in this film with attractive colors on screen. Bhansali has to be praised that he made Peshwa Bajirao's character from Ranbir Singh come alive on screen.

Music

Almost all the songs in this film have become very popular before release. Bhansali has presented these songs in a completely Marathi style on the film screen. The song of this film reminds me of the song by Albela Sajan Salman starrer film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

See why

If you like a different collection of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films. Ranveer, Deepika, Priyanka Chopra are fans, so watch this film to see all three of your favorite stars in a different look this time.

Now the trend of making films on the historical background is dying, in such a way, there is also a good option for the enthusiasts of history based films.

Bajirao Mastani History

Bajirao Mastani's history in Hindi: Bajirao Mastani's love story is famous in the whole world. In the 1700s, there were Peshwas in a Maratha named Bajirao, who never lost a fight under his rule. He was a skilled swordsman, horseman, who was also ready to marmite to protect his religion.

We have known the love story of Bajirao Mastani closely by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, only after this most people have come to know about them. Bajirao was a skilled ruler, but he served as Peshwa for only 20 years of his life.

He was more popular with his love story. So let's know about Bajirao Mastani today, who was he? How their love story started and ended.

Who was Bajirao Peshwa?

Bajirao was the Peshwa (Prime Minister) of the fourth Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shahu Raje Bhosle. He held this office from 1720 till his death. He is also known as Bajirao Ballal.

Bajirao wanted to spread the Maratha empire throughout the country, in the north he was also very successful. During his 20-year tenure, Bajirao waged 44 wars, out of which not a single one was lost.

This in itself is not less than any record. Bajirao was also praised by British officers, according to him, Bajirao was a skilled commander and a great horseman.

Bajirao Mastani History

Bajirao was born into a Brahmin Bhat family. His father Balaji Vishwanath Chhatrapati was the first Peshwa of Shahu. Bajirao had a younger brother, Chimaji Appa. Being from a Brahmin family, Bajirao always used to pay great attention to the Hindu religion.

Bajirao was very close to his father, from whom he received all the education. After the death of Bajirao's father in 1720, Shahu Ji made 20-year-old Bajirao the Peshwa of Maratha.

Life as a Peshwa

When Bajirao became Peshwa, then Chhatrapati Shahu was the nominal ruler, he mostly stayed in his palace Satara. The Maratha empire was run in the name of Chhatrapati Shahu, but the powerful hands that ran it belonged to the Peshwa. Besides being a very good warrior, Bajirao was also a good commander. The Marathas had a huge army, which Bajirao used to run with his knowledge. This is the reason, in a short time his name spread throughout the country. He soon waved the Maratha flag in the north of India.

His dream was to make the whole of India a Hindu nation. Bajirao had won almost half of India in a very short time. His dream was to wave the Maratha flag in Delhi too. From north to south and east to west, there were discussions of his bravery. At that time, Akbar ruled in Delhi, but Akbar also believed in Bajirao's bravery, courage, and wariness.

Who was Mastani?

Mastani was the daughter of Hindu Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela. And his mother was a Muslim dancer, whose name was Rouhani Bai. He was born in a village in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Mastani was very beautiful, who was involved in swordsmanship, horse riding, martial arts, and all household work. He had mastered art, literature, and war. Mastani also danced and sang very well. Mastani was born in a Rajput family, but like her mother, she adopted the Muslim religion.

Bajirao Mastani love story

Mastani's father Chhatrasal ruled in Bundelkhand under Panna Raj. In 1728, the Mughals attacked them. Then the king sent a message through his daughter to Bajirao for help. It is here that Bajirao Mastani first meets. At that time, Bajirao was in the Bundelkhand province of Madhya Pradesh. With the help of Bajirao, Chhatrasal defeats the Mughals.

Mastani Bajirao is very impressed by the war skills. Chhatrasal gives Bajirao his daughter Mastani and parts of his kingdom as a reward. Bajirao is impressed by Mastani's beauty and fearlessness and gives him his heart. After which Bajirao marries him and makes him his second wife.

Bajirao's first wife was Kashibai, whom he married at the age of 11 when Kashi Bai was 8 years old. Kashibai and Bajirao were together since childhood, so they were good friends as well. Then he had a son Nanasaheb.

After meeting Mastani, Bajirao got a son from Mastani, Shamsher Bahadur, who was earlier named Krishna. But being a Muslim mother, she was forced to adopt the Muslim religion.

Bajirao Mastani love story turning point in Bajirao-Mastani's love story

Bajirao Mastani was made his wife, due to this his wife and his mother and brother were also shocked. Nobody was accepting the Muslim girl as his wife. Bajirao used to live with Mastani in the palace located in Shanivada. Kashibai was very sad to see all this, but she was calm for her husband's happiness. She loved her husband very much and is happy in his happiness. She had no problem with Mastani, but she could not speak anything in front of her mother-in-law and brother-in-law. His mother-in-law also tried to provoke Kashibai a lot. Many times an attempt was made to kill Mastani.

Mastani gave birth to a son Shamsher in 1740, at the same time Kashibai also gave birth to a son, but his son died in no time. Mastani raised her son with difficulties living alone. When Bajirao was going to war, Bajirao's mother and brother Chimaji imprisoned Mastani in his palace. In this, Bajirao's son Nanasaheb was also with him. When Bajirao returned from the war, he immediately announced to build a separate palace for Mastani and built the Mastani Mahal in Pune.

Bajirao's family was not sitting still, he used to do something to trouble Mastani. Bajirao's love for Mastani was amazing, his motive was never bad, he loved both Mastani and his wife Kashi Bai. Mastani also loved Bajirao and stands up for her love in front of the entire society. Kashi Bai agrees to give up her honeymoon for her husband.

Bajirao Mastani Death

In 1740, Bajirao went to Khargone, Indore for some political work. There he suddenly got a high fever, he was remembering and calling Mastani very much at that time. At that time he was accompanied by Kashibai, his mother, and Nanasaheb. But he dies due to heatstroke. Bajirao's last rites took place near the Narmada River near Rawarkhed.

The mystery of Mastani's death still remains. Some people believe that he died due to shock after hearing the news of Bajirao's death, while some people believe that he committed suicide after hearing this news.

After the death of both, Kashi Bai keeps Mastani's 6-year-old son Shamsher with her and grows up as her son.
